Sue Wilson

January 16, 1946 — January 28, 2021

Velma Sue Wilson, 75, of Dothan, AL passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at a Dothan hospital.

Sue was born on January 16, 1946 in Donalsonville, GA to the late George Hance Montgomery and Naomie Love McDonald.She worked as a nurse for numerous years and also operated an upholstery shop in Blakely where she demonstrated her love for sewing and decorating.Sue also enjoyed singing karaoke and dancing.She attended New Covenant Christian Fellowship in Dothan.

Survivors include her son, Dr. David Wilson, Jr. of Pike Road, AL and his children, Olivia & David Wilson, III; two daughters, Renee' Casey (Kevin) of Albany, GA and their daughter, Madisson, and Shaye Downey of Cape Coral, FL and her sons, Matthew & Ethan; her sister, Becky Lord (Buddy) of Blakely; her longtime companion and soulmate, Jerry Walters of Dothan; and her former husband and father of her children, David Wilson, Sr.along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Due to risks associated with the current pandemic, the family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.
