Robert Duncan Hall Iii

Robert Duncan Hall III, 91, of 575 South Washington St., Fort Gaines, GA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 13th. Visitation will be Friday, June 16th, from 5pm to 7pm at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, GA. A private graveside service for the family will be held the following day officiated by Reverend Corderal Gilbert. Mr. Hall was born to the late Robert Duncan Hall II and Hilda Hobbs Hall in Blakely, GA. He was a pharmacist and owner of Hall Drug Company in Blakely and Fort Gaines. He was a graduate of pharmacy school at Alabama Polytechnic Institution now known as Auburn University. He was an avid runner and would often run to Blakely from Fort Gaines. He was a member of the Georgia Pharmacy Association, helped form the American Pharmacy Cooperative Inc., member of Blakely Rotary Club and was once a county commissioner for Clay County. He was a member of Fort Gaines United Methodist Church. He is survived by his four daughters: Leslie Sharker and Frank of Deatsville, AL, Lauren Driebe of Flagstaff, AZ, Anne Clanton and Jim of Dadeville, AL, and Kathleen Wood and Jim of Fort Gaines, GA; 8 grandchildren: Ben and Rob Sharker of Deatsville, AL, Thomas Driebe of Japan, Charles Driebe of Phoenix, AZ, Susan and Clem Cole of Auburn, AL, Carolyn Newman and Gabe of Dothan, AL and Lou Wood of Montgomery, AL; 5 great grandchildren: Joseph, Avery, Addison and Charlotte Sharker of Deatsville, AL and Mills Newman of Dothan, AL. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Clements Hall and sister, Muriel Hall Foster.
