William Eugene (Gene) Wilson (67) of 723 Wilkie Mosley Road, Blakely, Ga. 39823 passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11 AM at Beulah Baptist Church in Cedar Springs, Ga. with Rev. Bill Hovey officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until funeral time at the church.
Gene was born in Colquitt, Ga. October 9, 1951 to the late Billy Calvin Wilson and Betty Mae Jordan Wilson of Blakely, Ga. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator, attended Beulah Baptist Church. A graduate of George C.Wallace College in Dothan, Al. as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He is survived by his wife; Karen Chandler Wilson , Daughter; Tabaitha English and Randall; son: Billy Calvin Wilson II and Treela; mother:Betty Mae Jordan Wilson; brothers: George Lane Wilson Sr. and wife Barbara and Billy Joseph (Joe) Wilson and wife Beverly, all of Blakely, Ga. and by 6 grandchildren: Hannah Claire English, Jacob Evans English, Madison Dawn English, Megan Carpenter Hobbs, Kayla Floyd and Caroline Floyd and by 3 great-grandchildren: Hailey Hobbs, Gracie Mae Hobbs and Kamdyn Tew.
