Wayne Roosevelt Foster, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on Sunday, March 5th, 1933, in Bronwood, Georgia, Wayne lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to his community. Wayne was the cherished son of the late Samuel Milton Foster and Ruby Mae Foster. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie Eugenia Foster, and his siblings, Margie Mae Foster, Hazel Mims, and Don Foster. A visionary in the broadcasting industry, Wayne was the proud owner of WBBK Radio Station and the founder of Blakely Cable Co. His passion for music and community was evident in his efforts to support local musicians, offering them a platform to showcase their talents on his radio station. Wayne's contributions to the music industry and his community have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Wayne is survived by his loving daughters, Lisa Foster Burns (Jim) of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Laura Foster Riddle (Paul) of Houston, TX. He was a devoted grandfather to Jessica Burns Krueger (Patrick) of Woodstock, GA, Michaelyn Burns Ross (Adam) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Alexander Riddle (Mollie) of Houston, TX, and Analise Riddle Hughes (William) of Austin, TX. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Claire Krueger, James Krueger, Charlotte Ross, Bennett Ross, Everette Ross, Thomas Riddle, Michael Riddle, and Ford Hughes. Wayne is also survived by several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. A graveside service to honor Wayne's life will be held at Blakely Cemetery in Blakely, GA, on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Tucker Lewis officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Wayne Roosevelt Foster will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to Christ, His church, his kindness, entrepreneurial spirit, and his unwavering commitment to his family and community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
