Virgil Alva Gibson

Virgil Alva Gibson passed away peacefully August 17th, 2023 in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by his family. He was born in Butler, Alabama on February 25, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin Gibson and Mamie Drewnette Tindle; his sisters, Marvolyn S. Gibson, Marilyn Yvonne Mathews, and his brother, William Champ Gibson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linwood Martin Gibson, his son, Lee F. Gibson (wife Scarlett) and his grandson, Cole B. Gibson. At Mr. Gibson's request, there will be no service after his cremation. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Blakely First Methodist Church in his memory.
