Tommy Joe Odom, 62, of Cedar Springs, GA passed away at his residence on Friday, February 5, 2021, following an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th, in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Tommy was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 24, 1958 to the late Odell and Lucy Agnes Chandler Odom.He was a graduate of Ashford Academy and retired from Graham Timber Co., where he worked as a machine operator.Away from work, Tommy enjoyed his family and cooking, especially making jelly and pear relish.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Frank Odom, a brother-in-law, Rod Allums, and a sister-in-law, Pamela Oslin.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Jeanie McClellan Odom; his daughter, Amber Cook (Joe Carmack) of Rolla, MO; two grandchildren, Brandon and Jozie Cook; a sister, Mary Esther Allums of Cedar Springs; three brothers, John Odom (Leilann) of Blakely, Robert Earl Odom (Lois) of Shellman, GA, and Harry Odom (Anita) of Cedar Springs; a brother-in-law, Steve McClellan (Anita) of Jakin, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
