Thomas Wayne White, 60, of Blakely passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Early Medical Center. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024 in the chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 22, 2024, at Southside Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy White, Brice Harrell, Cory Altman, Michael Jones, Billy Thomas, and Jordan Griggs. Honorary pallbearers will be past employees of Hattaway Ford and Southern Ag Com employees. Georgia attire is welcome at the service, as Wayne was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Wayne was born October 20, 1963, in Blakely, Ga. to Verna Thomas White and the late Hosie White. He was a Ford Certified Master Mechanic and shop foreman at Hattaway Ford for many years. Most recently he was employed by Southern Ag Com. Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends, cooking, golfing, and helping others in any way that he could. In addition to his father, Hosie White, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, Steve White, and Angela Rayla Watson. Survivors include his mother, Verna Thomas White, daughters, Amber White Mulligan (Matthew) of Jacksonville, Fl., Alexis Nicole White (Cory Altman) of Blakely, and Alanna Marie White of Athens, Ga., a son, Jimmy Wayne White of Blakely, and Brice Harrell, who Wayne mentored and took in as one of his own, from Blakely, and a grand-daughter, Madilynn Michelle Altman of Blakely. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Hamilton, brothers, twin Lane White, Randy White (Lisa), and Rex White, all of Blakely, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Shriners and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
