Sutton Asbell, 71, of 358 Lakewood Drive, Blakely, GA, (formerly of Moultrie, GA) passed away at his home Friday afternoon, June 8, 2018.His funeral will be held in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GAon Sunday, June 10, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Keith Horn and Rev. Lonnie Gibson officiating.The family will meet with friends for visitation starting at 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.A private burial will be held at a later date in Thomasville, GA.
Mr. Asbell was born in Cairo, Georgia to the late John Wesley Asbell and Virginia Sutton Asbell Buchanan. He was a member of the Kingwood Baptist Church in Moultrie, GA and a member of the Sonlighters Senior Citizen Group of Kingwood Baptist.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 369 in Thomasville, GA. and was retired as a Die Caster for Hubbell Die Casting, Inc. of Moultrie, GA.He loved fishing, touring the United States on his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and he loved spending time with his dogs and especially his two very special granddaughters.
His survivors include his wife Vicki Robinson Asbell of Blakely, GA whom he married on July 6, 1968. He has a daughter, Haley Tiner and Ret of Blakely, GA, and a son, Wesley Darin Asbell and Cameron of Vidalia, GA, a half-brother: Rodney Tuggle of Cairo, GA and two granddaughters: Sutton Tiner and Copper Tiner of Blakely, GA.
