Shirley Sims Matthews

October 17, 1946 — June 16, 2020

Shirley Sims Matthews, 73, of Blakely passed away on Tuesday evening, June 16, 2020, at Southeast Health Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at Colokokee Baptist Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.

Shirley was born October 17, 1946 in Kendall, Florida to the late Harry Seaborn and Lillian Beatrice Bilton Sims.She was secretary at Southeastern Office Supply for numerous years and enjoyed traveling and watching sports, especially the Miami Dolphins and NASCAR.Shirley was a member of Colomokee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Lillian Marie Daugherty and Shirley Sims, both of Blakely and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Matthews, and two siblings, Joyce Sims Pollard and Rev. Harry Sims.
