Shelbie Jean Harrell

Shelbie Jean Jones Harrell, 78, of Blakely, GA passed away after a short battle with breast cancer on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Shelbie was born in Houston County, Alabama on September 4, 1944 to Olen Lamar Jones and Myrtle Adams Jones. She was a graduate of Cottonwood High School and Wallace Community College. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Shelbie was a member of Colomokee Baptist Church. Shelbie is survived by her husband, Louie Ronald Harrell of Blakely, GA along with their children and their families; Tracy (Chelle) Harrell, Tonya (Espy, Jr.) Smith, and Ryan (Heather) Harrell, 7 grandchildren; Kaylon (Brittni) Harrell, Van Harrell (Anslee Johnson), Trip (Megan) Smith, Corbin Smith, Shelbie Kaye Harrell, Gracie Harrell, and Ollie Harrell, and 4 great-grandchildren; Ally Jo Harrell, Riley Harrell, Ridge Harrell and Luna Harrell. A visitation service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA from 2:00 -3:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Shriners Hospital in memory of Shelbie J. Harrell.
