Sara Cox Kidd

January 29, 1947 — February 22, 2019

Sara Cox Kidd, 72, of 1187 N. Main St., Blakely, GA passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 22, 2019, at the Life Brite Community Hospital of Early. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Alex Howell and Rev. Tucker Lewis officiating.The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 until 2:50 pm in the church social hall.

Sara was born on January 29, 1947 to the late William Atkins "Booty" Cox and Christine Carter Cox. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely and kept children at her home where she had adaycare business for 45 years. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Steven Kidd, and a son, Raymond Douglas "Doug" Kidd.

Her survivors include a daughter, Julie Kristine Jackson and J. T. of Damascus, GA; a sister, Judy Cox Jordan and Mickey of Arlington, GA, and a brother, William Thomas "Bill" Cox and Tricia of Dalton, GA and an adopted daughter, Angie Wilson and Bruce of Blakely, GA. There are 8 Grandchildren; Daniel Bagwell and Katie of Pelham, AL, Jacey Bagwell of Stillwater, OK, Bubba Jackson and Jessie of Ft. Gaines, GA, Ashton Cook and Hunter of Athens, GA, Mallory Burdeshaw and Ben of Blakely, GA, Kyle Kidd and Kayla of Lula, GA, Anna Kate Sizemore of Atlanta, GA, and Collin Wilson of Blakely, GA, and 5 great grandchildren; Kacen Sims of Stillwater, OK, Hadley Cook of Athens, GA, Camden Moore of Blakely, GA, Raegan Burdeshaw of Blakely, GA, and Avery Kate Kidd of Lula, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Children's ministry of First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 265, Blakely, GA39823
