Sara Billings Allen

Sara Frances Billings Allen, 91, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 16, 2020 at Bainbridge Health Care in Bainbridge, GA. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2 PM in the Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Sterling Jones officiating.

Mrs. Allen was born on September 30, 1928 in Damascus, Georgia to the late Hugh Turner Billings and Emily Carrie Sanders Billings. She was a graduate of Damascus High School, a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Allen, Jr., by 2 sons: Steve and Larry Allen, 2 brothers, David and Roland Billings,by a half-brother, Lamar Billings and a half-sister, Velma Oliver.

Her survivors include a daughter, Sue Allen Daniel & Raymond of Coolidge, Ga and a daughter-in-law, Martha Allen of Blakely, GA. There are several grandchildren, including Sarajo Lee and Chester of Colquitt, Ga, severalgreat grandchildren and somegreat great grandchildren.
