Russell Eugene Pittman, 75, passed away today, September 28, 2019, at his residence 17054 Cedar Springs Road, Blakely, GA.His graveside service will be held Monday morning, September 30, 2019 at 11 AM in the Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Andy Glover officiating. Russell had chosen years ago to not have any visitation or viewing of his body and his family is honoring his wishes.

Russell was born August 6, 1944 to the late Eugene Holland Pittman and Mary Elizabeth Mills Pittman Oakley. He was a construction worker for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jane Hughes.

His survivors include a son: Brian Eugene Pittman of Sylvester, GA, 2 sisters: Emily Pittman Cleveland and Grace Pittman Causey and Gene all of Blakely and a brother: David Pittman and Cynthia of Midland City, AL, and longtime companion and caregiver, Myrtle W. Smith of Blakely.
