He was born to the late T.S. Lovering and Vardell Lovering on September 4, 1942 in Early County. He was owner and operator of Russell Lovering Home Remodeling and Repair. He was a terrific husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Jean, a sister Mae Chapman and four brothers Clarance Lovering, Ralph Lovering, Randall Lovering, and Raymond Lovering. Also twin sisters Helen and Ellen Lovering that passed as infants.
He is survived by his children Missy Wilson and Rusty (Glenda) Lovering; grandchildren Kendall (Hunter) Durham, Brittany (Brandon) Glover, Kevin (Annabeth) Melton, Kyle (Rebecca) Melton, Neil (Courtney) Lumpkin; great grandchildren Bentley Glover, Hayden Glover, Kase Melton, Mary Alice Melton, Branch Melton, Caroline Melton, Kellan Durham, Atticus Lumpkin, and Harper Lumpkin; brother Maine (Virginia) Lovering; sister Peggy (Benson) Steward; sister-in-laws, Alice McMillan and Ann Carlton
