Mr. Collins was born March 12, 1936 to the late Charles Arthur Collins and Dorothy Arlene Coss Collins.He was a member of Porterfield United Methodist Church.He was retired President of the First State Bank of Blakely.Other organizations included Former President of theBlakely Chamber of Commerce, Former member of Exchange Club of Albany, Blakely Town and Country Club, Paul Harris Fellow of the Blakely Rotary Club, a Mason and Shriner, on theBoard of Directors for First State Bank of Blakely as an Emeritus member .
His survivors include his wife, Lucy Wasdin Collins of Blakely, three daughters; Mallory Garland and Greg of Dawson, Ga., Rhonda Collins and Wendy Kleckley of Cuthbert, Ga., Susan C. McClendon and Chris, Blakely, Ga. There are seven grandchildren; Ashlee Pope and Ryan, Reid Garland and Greta, Seth Garland all of Dawson Ga., Haley McClendon, Collins McClendon, Blakely, Ga., Jordan Kleckley, Jacob Kleckley, Cuthbert, Ga.Four great grandchildren; Riles Pope, Britt Pope, Reese Garland, Maggie Garland, all of Dawson, Ga.
