Roberto A. Diaz

June 7, 1965 — August 21, 2021

Roberto Aguirre Diaz was welcomed into this world by his parents, Jose and Maria Esther, on June 07, 1965 in the city of Cihuatl¡n, Jalisco, Mexico. Roberto had 56 fulfilling years of life mostly residing in California and Georgia.

Roberto departed this world on Saturday, August 21, 2021 peacefully asleep in his bed. He grew up in the coastal village of Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. He spent his young adult life in Los Angeles, California, where he met and married his wife, Enedelia Cortez. Together they brought to the world; Roberto, Marlee and Melissa.

Roberto will always be remembered as a God fearing family man. Roberto's pride and joy were his family and his home. His favorite hobbies included: fishing, gardening, sea diving, watching vintage movies and studying the bible. Roberto was a very hardworking and protective man, who took care of his family both financially and physically. He will always be remembered as a mischievous and light-hearted jokester who would often play pranks on his children.

Roberto longed to be reunited with his first love, the ocean he grew up in. He was one with the currents, spending hours fishing, swimming and diving. Roberto was also a very giving and kind man, who enjoyed sharing the vegetables he grew in his garden with anyone who would take them. He was an animal lover who took in strays and cared for them as if they were his own kin.

He is preceded in passing on to the next step in life by his father in law and mother in law, Raul and Alicia Cortez; brother in law, Salvador Cortez; sister in law, Gloria Cortez; and nephews, Steven U. Ramos and Andrew R. Yerena.
