Rhonda Ellen Gessells Adams, 57, of 218 Watford Lane, Blakely, GA, passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL, Monday, April 2, 2018.Her funeral will be Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Sowhatchee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor Stokelin, Clay Poague, Mike Johnson, Chris Hall, Tim Poague and Chris Milner. Charles Brackin will be an honorary pallbearer.Visitation will be held, Friday, April 6, 2018 at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m. She was a homemaker and attended Flat Creek Baptist Church, Blakely, GA.

Mrs. Adams was born May 7, 1960 to the late Donald Eugene Gessells, Sr. and Sarah Hilton Gessells.

Her survivors include her husband, Jeffery Scott Adams; 2 daughters, Kimberly Howerton-Gibson and husband, Samuel, of Mayhaw, GA, Sarah Howerton of Blakely, GA; 5 sons, Anthony Saunders and wife Priscilla of Webb, AL; Marcus Howerton and companion, Gabrielle Wilkerson of Blakely; James Rapozo of Springfield, IL, Christopher Adams and fiance' Joanna Holmes of Blakely, GA, Charles Coby Adams of Blakely, GA;2 brothers, Donald Eugene Gessells, Jr., and Richie Bert Gessells of Anchorage, AK.Also surviving are 8 grandchildren.
