Peggy Ann Thomas Grimes, 72, was born on May 18, 1945 in Blakely, GA to the late William Franklin Thomas and Rosa Mae Peterson Thomas. She passed away, Monday, January 8, 2018. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cuba Presbyterian Church. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Sterling Jones officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation, Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bush Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Andy Temples, David Temples, Phillip Grimes, Ronald Wilson, Gerald Jordan and Tim Jordan.Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Perkins, Joel Houston, Toby Warr, Woody Warr, Terry Johnson, Monroe Taylor, Jason Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, David Thomas and Randy Thomas.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Collier Grimes, and by several siblings. Her survivors include two daughters; Amy L. Powell and Roy and Amanda Rabon and Scott; one son, Greg Grimes all of Blakely, GA.She also has a sister, Betty Granger of Blakely and three grandchildren; Heath Powell, Ellie Rabon and Jason Rabon, all of Blakely.
