Patsy Odell Rouse

Patsy Marie Barfield Rouse was born in Newton, GA on Oct. 24, 1948. Patsy passed away peacefully at her home in Blakely, GA surrounded by many loved ones. She was 74. Patsy is survived by her daughter Wendy Marie Mills Christopher and her husband Chris Blakely, GA three grandchildren Jerry Glynn Gambrell, Tommy Gambrell (Patricia) and Nicole Gambrell Harrell (Richard). Fourteen Great Grandchildren with One Great Great Granddaughter. Patsy is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Marie Varnum Barfield (Tomey James), husband John "Bobby" Rouse, her sister Catherine, and 3 Brothers Tomey, Haley, Garrett. Patsy Rouse moved to a small town of Ruskin, Florida in the mid 50's where she raised her daughter (Wendy Mills) and was a home health caregiver to The Johnson’s family for over 20 years. She retired to Blakely, GA with her husband John "Bobby" Rouse. Where together they founded the family business AUTO DOCTOR. Which the legacy continues to this day. She was also known in the Community for her love of Christmas as the “Christmas House on Main Street”. As we celebrate her life and as her Spirit goes on to Heaven, we realize her love of community was as much as her family. She will be deeply missed and adored by everyone. Her final resting place is Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Cemetery Newton, Georgia on December 12th, 2022.
