Patricia Hobbs Pitts

October 23, 1939 — November 8, 2018

Graveside services for Mrs. Patricia "Tricia" Pitts, 79, will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018, in Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Rob Brazell will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Pitts died peacefully on Thursday, November 8th, 2018. Born in Blakely, GA, she was a daughter of the late William Earle Hobbs and Mildred Cannon Hobbs Massey.

Tricia graduated from Georgia College with a degree in education and taught school in Atlanta and Charleston. She was a member of Mt. Elon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was the most giving person and loved to volunteer. She was very athletic, enjoyed coaching the tennis team at Thomas Hart Academy for many years, and loved playing golf, tennis, and softball, She loved trinkets and flowers and taught us all to look at the beauty of a flower.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob Pitts of Lydia, SC; son, Bart Pitts (Sandra) of Blakely, GA; daughter, Ashley Reardon (Paul) of Lydia, SC; grandchildren, Ben Pitts of Blakely, GA, Morgan Reardon and Mackenzie Reardon of Hartsville, SC, Tom Burrows (Elise) of Columbia, SC; brothers, Hal Hobbs (Sandy) and Charles Hobbs (Holley) of Blakely, GA.

Tricia had a special caregiver in Diane Austin. The family would also like to thank Agape Hospice for their tender loving care of Tricia.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Henry Massey.
