Norma Braswell Jones

March 7, 1943 — March 26, 2020

Norma Braswell Jones, 77, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at her residence in Blakely.

Mrs. Jones was born on March 7, 1943 in Barbour County, AL to the late Wiley Evander Braswell and Elma Gray Williams Braswell.She was a dedicated member of First Assembly of God Church and the Cuba community.Keeping with her strong christian values, she was always selflessly willing to help others in need.Along with her special friends, Marcelle Houston and Sandra Cooper, Norma enjoyed antique shows, Bible studies, and tupperware parties.But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Miracle Carter and husband Brooks; one son, Tim Jones and his wife Brooke; two grandsons; Jacob and Gage Jones, all of Blakely; her sisters, Sue Wilson and husband Earl of Dothan, AL, Ruby Lott, Brenda Johnson, both of Eufaula, AL, and Virginia Wells and husband Larry of Baker Hill, AL; and a brother, Wayne Braswell of Eufaula.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 42 years, Shelby Wayne Jones, and two sisters, Barbara Durham and Sandra Ward.

Due to current restrictions, the family is having a private service.Interment will be at Bush Cemetery.
