Mary Joann Burns, 87, of 543 Meadowbrook Drive, Blakely, GA, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Life Brite Community Hospital of Early.A visitation will be held at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, July 17, 2019, from 6 until 8 p.m.Her funeral service will be held Friday morning, July 19, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL, with Rev. Tina Christian officiating.

Joann was born on November 10, 1931, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Joseph and Annie Elizabeth Humphries.She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

Her survivors include two sons; Jim P. Burns and Lisa of Cape Girardeau, MO and Ken L. Burns of The Colony, Texas.She also has two granddaughters; Jessica Krueger and Patrick of Dunwoody, GA, and Michaelyn Ross and Adam of Jackson, MO.
