Martha Gene Middleton

Martha Gene Middleton, 95, of Blakely, Ga passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Early Memorial Nursing Home. Mrs. Middleton was born on August 22, 1928 in Port St. Joe, Fl. to the late Lester Eugene George and Annie Sue George. She was married to the late Walter Garland Middleton and was a homemaker. Survivors include 4 sons Wayne Middleton of Blakely, Ga., Mike Middleton (Betty) of Eufaula, Al., Richard Middleton (Val), and Robin Middleton (Julie) of Arlington, Ga. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Middleton was also predeceased by 1 brother, Marvin L. George, and 4 sisters, Elynr Chalker, Doris White, Wynelle Roberts, and Virginia Cain. Committal service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Pine Lawn Gardens at 10:45 am. A memorial service will follow at Southside Baptist Church at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Mark Mercer. Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
