Marshline Giles Livingston, 91 of Blakely passed away peacefully on Thursday evening,January 14, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Livingston was born in Cuthbert, GA to the late Jack Giles and Mary Harris Giles.She was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Wolfe, and a brother, Emory Giles.
After attending Georgia Southwestern and Huntingdon College,she was employed with the Early County ASCS before going to work with the U. S. Corps of Engineers where she retired after thirty years of service.Later she was employed with the Early County School System.
In addition to being a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, Mrs. Livingston was a charter member of the Blakely Pilot Club and also a member of the Blakely Garden Club.A certified Master Gardner, she enjoyed gardening and was known byher friends as the "Tomato Lady."She also enjoyed her flower beds and prized daylilies.
She is survived her husband, William S. Livingston; two stepdaughters, Laura L. Glasgow (Mike) of Ramona, OK, and Allison Humphries, Tulsa, OK; three step-grandchildren, Haley Glasgow of Sidney, Aus., Ryan Hartshorn (Angie) of Watertown, MN, and Scott Glasgow (Sabrina) of Webb City, MO; a niece, Vickey G. Bethka (Mike) of Alma, MI along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; she is also survived by her beloved longtime caretaker, Brittany Davis, and her family of Ft. Gaines, GA.
