Mark Downing, 51, of 5060 GA Highway 62, Blakely, GA 39823, passed away Thursday evening, August23, 2018, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.His funeral service will be Sunday, August 26, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery with Porter Mulkey, Wesley Temples, Stephen Welch, Charles English, Ray Perkins and Aaron Warfield serving as pallbearers.The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday evening, August 25, 2018, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home.

Mark was born on November 15, 1966 in Columbus, GA to the late Lloyd Anthony Downing and Norma Jean Gray Downing Temples.He was a truck driver for David I Peterson Oil Co.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Copeland Temples and a brother, Bo Temples.

His survivors include; his wife, Carolyn Jackson Downing, a son, Chris Downing, a step-daughter, Caitlyn Powell and step-son, Blake Powell (Brittany) all of Blakely, GA.He also has a brother, Wesley Temples of Opelika, AL.There are three grandchildren all of Blakely; William Mark Downing, Willie J. Powell and Reese Powell.
