Margaret Lois Williamson Beckum, 87, of 3181 Haynes Road, Edison, GA, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018.A graveside service will be Friday, August 10, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Salem Cemetery, Edison, GA with Rev. Chris Holdorf officiating.

Mrs. Beckum was born December 1, 1930 in Ft. Gaines, Georgia to the late Mizzelle Williamson and Minnie Estelle Lingfelt Williamson. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Edison, GA and was a seamstress for Editex Manufacturing Company, Arlington, GA.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Beckum.

Her survivors include two daughters; Mae Cheney of Edison, GA, Nell Breedlove and Al of Dawson, GA; one son, James Lewis Beckum and Linda of Las Vegas, Nevada, two sisters; Mary Alice Burrell of Atlanta, GA and Quida Ritter of El Paso, Texas. There were also 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
