Maggie Craft Newberry

April 17, 1926 — March 18, 2017

Mrs. Maggie Craft Newberry, 90, of 5130 Sewell Ferry Rd., Cedar Bluff, AL passed away Saturday evening, Mar. 18, 2017. Her funeral will be a graveside service Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11 AM in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Glysson Craft officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation in the social hall of the Arlington Baptist Church from 10 AM until 10:45 AM Tuesday morning before the graveside service.

Mrs. Newberry was born on April 17, 1926 in Early County, GA to the late James G. Craft and Lorena Craft. She was retired from the banking business and a member of the Arlington Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to either the Arlington Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Maxwell Harlow " Billy" Newberry.

Her survivors include 4 daughters: Charlotte Bryant of Quincy, FL, Linda Dowdy of Cedar Bluff, AL, Maxine Rithmire of Monroe, GA and Barbara McLeod of Walker, LA. She has a son, Billy Newberry of Cape Coral, FL. There are 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
