His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. T. J. Bennett and Rev. Josh White officiating.Interment will be in Blakely Cemetery with Mike Ellis, Steve Ellis, Justin Jones, Garrett Jones, Arthur Brackin, George Hartley and Jeff McFay serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
Lynwood was born in Blakely to the late Ralph Lowell "Pete" English and Betty Joyce McKnight English on September 19, 1952.He was a member of Colomokee Baptist Church and retired from Georgia Pacific.His passion was his grandchildren and spending time hunting and fishing.
Lynwood is survived by his wife, Denise Jones English; two children, Jason English (Leslie) and their children, Tanner & Ella Grace, of Panama City, FL and Jamie Clements (Ryan) and their children, Anna Ryan & Jameson, of Colquitt, GA; one sister, Pam Smith (Paul) of Colquitt; his mother-in-law, Alice Jones;brother-in-law, Gerald Jones (Donna), and a sister-in-law, Gayle West (Chuck), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth English.
