Lynda Gowan Parker, 73, of Blakely passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, May 23, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Lynda was born March 20, 1947 to the late Jethro Franklin "Frank" and Nettie Ruth Harper Gowan.She was a lifelong resident of Blakely where she retired from the city clerk's office after thirty years of service.Lynda was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.She enjoyed reading, flowers, and the comfort of her close-knit family.
Survivors include her caring husband of over thirty-eight years, Wayne L. Parker; two stepdaughters, Tammy Pfalzgraff (Mark) and their daughter Paige, and Tiffany Temples (Michael) and their daughter Hannah Grace; her four loving sisters, Diane Gowan, Ellen Everson Taylor (Frank), Rhonda Paul, and Trudie Evans (Ed); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris and Myra Gowan.
Due to current restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Blakely Cemetery.
