Lottie Toole Alston, 94, of Arlington, GA, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Miller County Nursing Home. Her funeral will be a graveside service in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Arlington, GA on Monday morning, October 28, 2019 at 10 AM with Rev. Cory Thomas officiating.
Lottie was born on September 6, 1925 in Damascus, GA to the late Daniel Burley "Buck" Toole and Edna Earl Lewis Toole. She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church, a homemaker, and she had received a Associates Degree from Darton College while she was in her seventies. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Augustus Alston, Sr., 2 sisters: Thelma Cole and Frances Payne and by 3 brothers: Arthur Toole, W. C. "Bill" Toole and Edward "Bud" Toole and her favorite son-in-law, Jack Talyor.
Her survivors include a daughter, Dianne A. Talyor of Pelham, AL, a son: Hal Alston and Vicky of Blakely, GA, 2 sisters: Pat Newberry of Arlington, GA and Sue Barksdale of Marietta, GA, and by 2 brothers: Dan Toole and Barbara of Temple, GA and Drake Toole of Clearwater, FL. There are also 3 grandchildren: Leigh Smith and Wayne of Wood Village, OR, Kristy Alston Hall of Columbus, GA, Kimberly Alston Still and Josh of Blakely, GA, and 7 great grandchildren: Jay Hall of Columbus, GA, Nic Hall of Eastman, GA, Tag Smith and Clennan Smith both of Wood Village, OR, Brianna Moore, Madison Still and Miley Grace Still, all of Blakely, GA.
