Lena Ruth Harrell

March 21, 1923 — September 17, 2016

Mrs. Lena Ruth Blackburn Harrell, 93, passed away Saturday morning, September 17, 2016 at the Early Memorial Nursing Home. The family will have a graveside service Monday afternoon at 2 PM at Bush Cemetery on Cuba Rd., Blakely, Ga. with Rev. Sterling Jones officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harrell was born on March 21, 1923 in Blakely, GA to the late Jimmy Eugene Blackburn and Ida Lena Lindsey Blackburn. She was a waitress for over 18 years for Mrs. Brown's Busy Bee Restaurant and was a loving homemaker.She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: George Leslie Harrell, a daughter: Georgia Ann Harrell Helms and a son: Daniel Leslie Harrell.

Her survivors include a son: Tony Harrell and his fiance' Lori Brown of Leesburg, GA, a sister, Louise Tedder of Blakely, GA; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harrell was also preceded in death b y all her siblings except for Mrs. Louise Tedder.
