Katie Pearl Love McDonald, 80, of 158 S. Central Avenue, Blakely, Ga 39823, died Monday morning, June 5, 2017 at her residence.Her funeral will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA with Rev. Jimmy Love officiating. Active pallbearers will be Dayton Amerson, Rand McDonald, Thomas McDonald III, Nick Rawlings, Vance Amerson and Michael McMullen. Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDonald was born March 14, 1937 in Blakely, GA to the late Dennis Love, Sr. and Gertrude Anglin Love.She was the former owner of the Burger Queen and of the Baptist faith.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Marie McDowell and Esther Tisler and by four brothers; Bud, Cecil, J. D. and Junior Love.
Survivors would include a daughter; Brenda Amerson and husband Vance of Colquitt, GA; three sons, Randy McDonald and wife Debbie, Blakely, GA, Walter McDonald, Blakely, GA and Tracy McDonald of Panama City Beach, FL; two sisters, Margorie Chambliss and husband Frankie, and Betty McGlamory and husband Gene all of Blakely, GA, and three brothers, Carl Love and Grace of Blakely, GA, Jerry Love and Gwen of Sasser, GA, and Jimmy Love and JoAnn of Thomasville, GA.There are 13 grandchildren; Kaylyn Green Brackin and fiance' Nick Rawlings of Colquitt, GA, Christina R. Green of Blakely, GA, Dayton and Payton Amerson of Colquitt, GA, Megan McMullen and Michael of Colquitt, GA, Lindsey McDonald of Americus, GA, Rand McDonald of Blakely, GA,Whittni McDonald of fiance' Christopher Barrentine of Dothan, AL, and Brittni and finance' Kaylon Harrell of Dothan, AL, Ashley McDonald of Clayton, AL, Savannah and Shelbi McDonald of Sylvester, GA, and Thomas McDonald, III of Panama City Beach, FL.There are also five great grandchildren; Kylie Brackin, Maddie and Makayla McMullen all of Colquitt, GA, Kolton and Whitley McDonald of Clayton, AL.
