Katherine "Kathy" Edison Rabon, 68, of 9103 Highway 62 W , Blakely, GA 39823, died at her residence early Monday morning, August 13, 2018.Her funeral will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Rev.Sterling Jones officiating.The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening, August 15, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery.Active pallbearers will be Travis Edison, Sam Edison, Jos Edison, Christopher Edison, Tyler Hampton and Johnny Swords.Honorary pallbearers will be Perry King, Brooks Carter, Wade Bush and Sterling McCorkle.

Kathy was born on September 6, 1949 in Blakely, GA to the late Junior Lee Edison and Lena Bernice Williams Edison.She was a member of the former Emmanuel Baptist Church.She retired as a loan officer for Loan South Finance Company of Blakely after 14 years of employment.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wesley Cherry and a brother, Bobby Edison.

Her survivors include her husband, Hiram Bruce "Butch" Rabon, Jr., two daughters: Tonya Brown-Battles, Anna Alecia Rabon, one son:Michael Frank Cherry and one stepson, Scott Rabon and Amanda, a sister, Virginia Edison Hampton and Keith, two brothers: Johnny Edison and Mary and Sammy Edison all of Blakely, GA.There are 8 grandchildren; Magan, Jacob, and Alden
Brown all of Birmingham, AL; the other five are from Blakely, Wesley Rajpara, Eli Rabon, Dawn Norris and David, Ellie Rabon, Jason Rabon Also four great-grandchildren from Blakely; Allison, Emily, Ethan and Austin Norris.
