The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23, at Springfield Baptist Church with her brother, Rev. Willie B. McKinnon, and Rev. Robert Johns officiating.Scott Stacks, David Lambert, Justin Smith, Eugene McKinnon, Michael Layton, and Jarod Lanier will serve as pallbearers along with Chris Milner and Ricky McGee serving as honorary pallbearers.Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 on Thursday evening at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Kathleen was born on September 22, 1948 in Webster, FL to the late Willie B. McKinnon and Alma Lee Burkes McKinnon.She was a graduate of the nursing program at Wallace Community College and worked as a registered nurse at numerous locations throughout the area.Kathleen also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with her family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wyatt Chandler, Jr.; a grandson, Ethan Wyatt Chandler, and eight siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina Nichole Yzaguirre (Austin Tyler) of Blakely and her daughter Brittani Nichole Hatton, and Ayla Yzaguirre of Tallahassee; her son, Albert Wyatt "Trey" Chandler (Stephanie) of Blakely and his two children, Avery Ethan and Dylan Wyatt Chandler; her daughter-like niece, Linda Sue Hicks of Blakely and her children, Jarod (Amanda), J.J., Coleman, and Hailey Lanier; four siblings, Joanne Nedelsky of San Mateo, FL, Betty Smith (Earl), Ruth Krantz, and Willie B. McKinnon (Roberta) all of Palatka along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.The family would like to give a special thanks to Linda Sue Hicks, Michael Layton, Ruth Glass, Lynn Cook, Autumn Coates, Kaye McCormick and her late husband Bruce, David Lambert, Chris Miller, and Lynn Woods for their care and generosity.
