June Spence

June Spence, 90, formerly of Atlanta passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in Acworth, GA.

A private interment will be held at Blakely Cemetery.

Ms. Spence was born on January 6, 1930 in Blakely, GA to the late Absalom Claudius Spence and Mattie Jones Spence.She moved to Atlanta shortly after graduating from Blakely Union High School where she worked in the insurance industry for the majority of her career.Ms. June was a member of the Pilot Club of Atlanta and was honored as a Pilot Club Sweetheart.She was also a member of First Baptist Church Atlanta where she volunteered with Dr. Charles Stanley's In Touch Ministries.

Survivors include her brother, Dr. Philip H. Spence of Milledgeville, GA; her sister, Wilhelmina Griner of Acworth and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
