Judy Phillips Brownlee, 78, of Blakely passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Early Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Westview Methodist Church at 3:00 pm. Family will receive friends at 2:00 pm at the church prior to the funeral. Rev. Jackie Davis and Pastor Lori Lewis will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Blakely Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Trey Harrell, Heath Mansfield, Deuce Odom, Steve Singletary, Clay Willis, and Don Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present educators with the Early County School System. Mrs. Brownlee was born October 12, 1945 in Graceville, Florida to the late James and Vonnie Phillips. She married Mark Brownlee, Jr in 1967. At the time of his passing in 2016, they had been married for 49 years. Mrs. Brownlee was a dedicated teacher with the Early County School System until her retirement. Mrs. Brownlee was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vonnie Phillips and her husband Mark Brownlee, Jr. She is survived by 2 sons, Mark Standifer Brownlee III (Leah) and Richard Austin Brownlee (Blaire) both of Blakely, and 3 grandchildren, Collin Mark Brownlee, Aubrie Nicole Brownlee, and Kenley Jo Brownlee all of Blakely. Mrs. Brownlee is also survived by a brother, James Phillips (Jeanette) of Marianna, Florida, lifelong friends Jackie and Mary Jo Davis of Evergreen, Alabama, and a special sister and caregiver, Annie Bristow of Blakely.
