Juanita Varnum, 95, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday afternoon a brief illness, November 18, 2022, in her home. Her funeral will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2022, at 2 P.M. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA with Pastor Brent Griffin officiating. Pallbearers include Brandon and Bradley Varnum, Brandon and Cody Aycock, Ryan Tucker and David Moseley. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 19, 2022, from 5-7 P.M. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA. The family is gathering at the home of Freddy and Tiffany Varnum, 150 Hilton Drive Blakely, Ga. Juanita was born June 2, 1927, to the late James and Nettie Lynn. She spent most of her life in Donalsonville, Ga in the construction business “covering houses,” aka roofing, with her husband A.D. in their family business. In her spare time, you could find her enjoying reading, completing puzzle books, and spending time with her grandkids. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Varnum, and 2 brothers, Montague “Monte” and Ruben Lynn and one daughter-in-law Cindy Varnum. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Bradley Varnum (Sharon) of Donalsonville, Ga, and Freddy Varnum (Tiffany) of Blakely, Ga nine grandkids, Brandon Aycock (Katie), Cody Aycock (Kim), Brandon, Bradley and Eve Varnum, George Adams, Tiffany Abigail (Abby) and Griffin Varnum, and Jessie Tucker (Skyler) and seven great grandkids Ryan, Addi, Alyx, Dani, Jace, Dane, and Weston. She is survived by 2 sisters Maxine Roberts and Annie Lou Atkinson.
