John Lewis Pickle

January 20, 1943 — January 15, 2022

John Lewis Pickle, Jr., 78, passed away on January 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by family, following a long illness. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Chapel in Blakely, Georgia with Cliff Starr officiating.

Johnny was born January 21, 1943, to the late John Lewis Pickle, Sr. and Ila Montez Bush Pickle. He worked as Shipping Clerk at Georgia Pacific for 41 years before retiring. Johnny enjoyed spending his time dancing, fishing, golfing, loving his grandchildren and his Auburn Tigers.

His survivors include his wife, Terresa Pickle, of 40 years, daughter Ashley Prince (Blake), son Bo Thurman (Therese) and nine grandchildren; Maria Thurman, Tyler Thurman, Jacob Thurman, Matthew Thurman, Torin Adams, Ayleena Hood, Gage Hood, Taylor Prince, and Neece Prince.
