John Benjamin Hand

April 17, 1958 — October 2, 2018

John Benjamin Hand, 60, of 370 Liberty St., Blakely, GA passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at 2 PM in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Johnny Avirett officiating and providing the music for the service.

Benny was born on April 17, 1958 in Arlington, GA to the late Enoch Benjamin Hand and Rebecca Elizabeth Strickland Swords. He was a Chef, having worked at the Powerline and other restaurants over the years. He attended Arlington Baptist Church years ago.

His survivors include a sister, Jan Harrell of Blakely, Ga and a brother, Carroll Swords of Ft. Gaines, Ga and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
