A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 05, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Gaines officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Edison Baptist Church, P.O. Box 296, Edison, GA39846.
John was born on February 11, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Frank Edward and Ruth Kathryn Servene Brockman.He served our country in the United States Army and retired from Boeing in Witchita, KS after a thirty year career as an aircraft machinist.John always drove a Ford and was constantly looking for model trains and John Wayne memorabilia to add to his collection.Along with being a member of the Edison Lions Club, he was a faithful member of Edison Baptist Church where he took pride in helping prepare breakfast on Sunday mornings.In the community, he enjoyed assisting his neighbors by building handicap ramps and any other tasks suited for his conscientious and caring nature.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Geraldine Williamson Brockman; a daughter, Lisa Beebe and her husband Laddie of Haysville, KS; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents; John was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Godbee Brockman, and numerous family members.
