John Linwood Braswell

March 31, 1930 — April 1, 2019

John Linwood Braswell, 89, of Panama City, Fl passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at his residence. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11 AM EDT in the Mars Hill Cemetery, Edison, GA. with Rev. J. C. Stanaland officiating. Mr. Braswell was born in Edison, GA on March 31, 1930 to the late Charlie L. Braswell and Luelle Strickland Braswell. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Terry and Jimmy Braswell.

He was a retired Southern Bell Telephone Cable Repairman and a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Edison, GA and St. Andrews Primitive Baptist Church in Panama City, where he had served as a Deacon and Treasurer for both Churches.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Goodliff Braswell, 3 daughters: Mary Brown and Ronald, Patricia Jean Dockery and Larry and Connie Braswell all of Panama City, FL. He has a brother, Charlie Braswell and his wife Shirley of Batesville, GA, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
