Jessie Merle (McCorkle) Avery, 74, passed away at Southeast Health on Thursday, November 18, 2021. There will be a graveside service held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the Roberts Cemetery, Colquitt, GA with Rev. Sterling Jones officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Sterling McCorkle, Sandy Bridges, David Norris, Ethan Norris and Sean Jensen.

Ms. Avery was born on January 12, 1947 in Blakely, GA to the late Jesse James McCorkle and Susan Alberta McCorkle. She was of the Baptist faith and graduated Blakely High School.She loved her family and enjoyed watching westerns.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Ronnie Avery.

Her survivors include a daughter, Kim (Sandy) Bridges, two granddaughters; Dawn (David) Norris, Kelli Bridges, four great-grand children; Allison Norris, Emily Norris, Ethan Norris and Austin Norris, one brother, Sterling McCorkle.
