Jesse Rabon (Ray) Henry

Jesse Rabon (Ray) Henry, 78, of Blakely died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, Georgia. Funeral service will be at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11AM, with Rev. Cory Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the funeral. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Cemetery with Mike Boyd, Carlton Thomas, Charles Brackin, Tony Bruner, Toby Phillips, and Odell Cooper serving as pallbearers. The deacons of Flat Creek Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Ray was a member and deacon of Flat Creek Baptist Church for many years. He was employed by Miller County School System as Transportation Director before he retired in 2016. Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a huge Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Betty Radney Henry; parents, Thomas Rabon and Agnes Cleveland Henry; brother, Phil Henry. Ray is survived by his son, Brent Henry of Jakin; daughter, Kelly (Brett) Scoggins of Bowman; son, Tracy (Renee) Scarborough of Malone, Florida; and son, Jason (Tami) Scarborough of Columbus. He is also survived by two brothers, Deloye (Toni) Henry of Havana, FL; Craig (Cindy) Henry of Malvern, AR. He has twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Flat Creek Baptist Church, 1616 Three Notch Road, Blakely, GA 39823 in memory of Ray.
