Jerry Howell Thompson, 71, of 18523 Highway 39 S., passed away at his home Monday, January 30, 2017.A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Blakely Cemetery with Dr. Alex Howell officiating .

Mr. Thompson was born on September 21, 1945 to the late Drew Thompson, Jr. and Virginia Hudson Schramm.He worked at Great Northern Paper Company and Farley Nuclear Plant before becoming disabled.

He issurvived by a half-brother, Donald and Sally Thompson of Blakely, GA.
