Jena Sue Gilbert

Jena Sue Gibson Gilbert ,42, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023. Her parents were the late Jena V. Gibson and the present George and Tracy Gibson. She is survived by her husband, Charlie James Gilbert, Sr., of almost 18 years. Their children are Tamara Battle, Jessica Battle, Charlie James Gilbert, Jr., Cortney Gilbert, Jayme Gilbert, Jontavious Gilbert, James Gilbert, Kaylee Gilbert, and Kaleb Gilbert and many grandchildren. She was a sports mom and loved to watch them play. Everything she did had to be family oriented. She loved being with her loved ones. She worked for 14 years and the last 3 years she was kitchen manager at North By-Pass Mini Mart. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. She always had a warm smile and a kind word for those she encountered. There will be a memorial service at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home Wednesday at 10am March 8, 2023 with Pastor Brent Griffin officiating.
