Jeanette Houston Pyle passed away Monday night, September 12, 2016, in Colquitt, Ga. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sammie and Lavon Clenney. Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.Service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Cedar Springs, GA. with Rev. Keith Horn officiating. . Burial will follow in the Cedar Springs Cemetery, Cedar Springs, GA. Pallbearers will be Cliff Sheffield, Mal Freeman, Ben Clenney, Daniel Anderson, Kyle Thomas and Malory Miller.
Mrs. Pyle was born on July 26, 1930 to the late Samuel Davis Houston and Frankie Grimes Houston. She retired as a Sales Clerk after many years with B. C. Moores' / Goodys' Department Stores. She was a member of the Cedar Springs Freewill Baptist church.
Mrs. Jeanette is survived by one daughter, Sammie Clenney and Lavon, Colquitt, Ga. and two sons, Jim Pyle and Marie, and Davis S. Pyle, Jr. all of Blakely, Ga.One Sister, Louise Bagnall, Susquehanna, PA., and sister-in-law, Verne Houston, Blakely, GA. Six grandchildren:Ben Clenney and Jana, Colquitt, Ga., Amy Thomas and Kyle, Bainbridge, Ga., Laura Miller and Malory, Brinson, Ga., Rachel Anderson and Daniel, Phenix City, AL., Staci Pyle also, of Phenix City, AL,and Melissa Pyle, Blakely, Ga.Six great grandchildren:Megan Meszaros, Dylan Clenney, Mackenzie Thomas, Will Miller, Maddie Clenney and Jeb Miller.
Other thanher parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Sanders Pyle, Sr.and two brothers, Willard and Ronald Houston.
