Jean Middleton Jeter

Shelvia Jean Middleton Jeter, 83, of Blakley, Georgia passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 31, 2020 at her residence.

A private service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Sterling Jones will be officiating.

Mrs. Jeter was born in Blakley, GA on December 28, 1937 to the late William Rodney Middleton and Nadine Houston Middleton. Mrs. Jeter was a former paraprofessional in the Early County School System and a private daycare provider. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Her survivors include one daughter Cheri Langley Kelley (Marty) of Colquitt, GA; two sons Ricky Langley (Sandra) of Blakely, GA and Ronny Langley (Jill) of Colquitt, GA.; grandchildren Mart Kelley Jr. (Tabatha), Cassie Kelley Trawick, Tara Langley Sumner (Michael), Kathryn Langley, Tyler Langley (Brooke), Will Langley, Alex Langley Walden (Mike), Zack Langley, and Amanda Garrett Higginbotham (Bruce), twelve great-grandchildren and five much loved nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Jeter, her sister Helen Middleton Gibson, her brother James Iverson Middleton, and a grandson Richard Scott Kelley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Southside Baptist Church, 22240 Lucile Road, Blakely, GA 39823.
