Janice Chapman Killebrew, age 79, of Blakely, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 15, 1944 to the late Emmett and Thelma Chapman. She was a member of Centerville Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Killebrew, parents Emmett and Thelma Chapman, and two (2) brothers Billy Joe Chapman and Larry Chapman. Janice is survived by her son, Thomas Edwin Sasser, III and her daughter, Mary Angeline Benton (Adam), eight grandchildren, James Killebrew (Meagan), Alexandra Burson (Ryan), Kelsey Sasser, Luke Benton, Ted Sasser, Mimi Sasser, Maggie Benton, Sadie Sasser, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Killebrew is also survived by three brothers, W.L. Chapman, Earl Chapman (Marie), Scott Chapman (Jeanne) and three sisters, Gloria Glusing (Bill), Emily Addison, Carol Pittman, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Lori Lewis, will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at Centerville Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors in the church sanctuary, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be W.L. Chapman, Earl Chapman, Scott Chapman, Adam Benton, Luke Benton, Ted Sasser, James Killebrew and Tony Grant. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her nephews Billy Glusing, Wesley Chapman, Ricky Chapman, Chad Chapman, Bobby Addison, Billy Addison, Michael Pittman, and Jason Chapman. Arrangements are provided by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centerville Methodist Church, 5306 Three Notch Road, Blakely, Ga.
