Janette Brownlee Nobles, 81, of 4927 Highway 84, Jakin, GA passed away at Noland Hospital in Dothan, AL this morning, March 21, 2017. Her funeral will be Friday, March 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. EDT at the Jakin Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Dekle officiating.Burial will be in the Jakin Cemetery.Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 23, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. EDT at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Mike Adams, Kent Adams, Jeff Montgomery, Mark Whittaker, Carlos Aguilar and Steve McClellan.
Mrs. Nobles was born January, 2, 1936 to the late Woodrow Wilson Brownlee and Reba Frances Nobles Brownlee. She was a retired bookkeeper for Early Furniture Company and Jakin Sales of Jakin.She was a member of the Jakin Baptist Church where she achieved 25 plus years of perfect Sunday School attendance.She also, was a Sunday School teacher and Bible School director for over 20 years.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Brownlee.
Her survivors include her husband, Norman John Nobles of Jakin; two daughters, Norma Cannon (Victor) of Jakin, Shari Culver (Harvey) of Malone, FL, and a son, Greg Nobles (Gayla) of Hampton, GA;she has one sister, Linda Brookins of Dothan, AL, four grandchildren; Casey Cannon (Amy) of Jakin, Codie Culver and fiance Phillip Stough of Malone, FL, Rylee and Jenna Nobles both of Hampton, GA; three great-grandchildren, Cassie, Sabrina and Courtney Cannon of Jakin, GA.a special caregiver, Miss Daisy of Jakin, GA.and a " grand-dog," Bella.
