Jan Peterson Scarborough,61, of 15542 Cedar Springs Road, Blakely, GA. passed away Monday morning, Dec. 2, 2019 at her residence.Her funeral will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Blakely, GA with Mr. Ken Roberts officiating.The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening, December 5, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home.Burial will be in the Blakely Cemetery with Larry King, Jr., Eddie Reed, Richard George, David Baldwin, Buck Willis and Steven Willis serving as pallbearers.

Jan was born November 21, 1958 in Cuthbert, GA to the late Kenneth Edward Peterson and her mother Carol Lumpkin Peterson of Cuthbert, GA.She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Cuthbert, GA and she was Assistant Logistics Manager at Olam Edible Nuts.Other than her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Peterson.

Her survivors other than her mother include her husband, Micheal Francis Scarborough of Blakely, GA, a daughter, Hannah S. Bush and Tyler of Wewahitchka, FL, a son, Justin Scarborough and Jessica of Blakely, GA, two sisters, Susie P. Shaw and Phillip of Cuthbert, GA, Becky Boren and Art of Buena Park, CA, a brother, Steve Peterson of Fitzgerald, GA, a granddaughter; Emily Anne Scarborough of Blakely and very special friends; Carl and Grace Love of Blakely, GA and her faithful four-legged companion, Ellie Merle.
